Morro de São Paulo
Morro de São Paulo is the home of beautiful beaches, but also reserves spectacular historical itineraries. The Great Fountain, built in 1746 for capturing and settling of the waters, was the scene of memorable events in national history, as the illustrious visit of the Emperor D. Pedro I and the Marchioness of Santos. The village grew around the monument and today offers a full structure of inns and restaurants, with the privilege to hear the running water on the way to the beaches on the other side of the island.
The village consists of a small village, followed by five beautiful beaches, where are the most varied housing options, from the exquisite to the most simple. Thus, Morro de São Paulo has conquered the world and today, this village without cars, this island without banks, busy nights and beautiful beaches, it is one of the top destinations of Bahia.
